PBN Links Case Study (Sep 2026): #75 to #3 in 6 Days

A US local service company took one of its city keywords from #75 to #3 in six days, and the number of its keywords ranking #1 on Google rose from 35 to 62 within four weeks of starting our POWERFUL PBN Links.

The client and the challenge

The client is a local service business covering about 25 US cities and states. Each city has its own landing page, targeting buyer searches like “[service] near me [city]” and “24 hour [service] [city]”.

At the first rank check on 11 August 2026, 35 of its 200 target keywords were already #1, while 30 did not rank in the top 100 at all. The goal was to push more city pages to the top of page 1, where the calls come from.

What we did

How the rankings moved

The number of keywords at #1 climbed from 35 to 62 by 7 September, a 77% gain, and stood at 41 on 29 September.

The fastest mover was a “[service] [city]” keyword: #75 on day one, #18 two days later, top 10 within three days, and #2 since mid-September.

A “[service] near me [city]” keyword went from #31 to #4 by the end of August and reached #1 on 27 September.

Across all 200 tracked keywords, 54 ranked higher at the end of September than on day one. Here is every one of them, with the keywords masked to protect the client. Keywords that did not improve are left out.

How we measured this

• Start point: the order was placed on 7 August 2026, and all 200 target keywords were added to our rank tracker the same day. All 200 links were live within 24 hours. The first check in our tracker was on 11 August, which is the starting position shown in the tables. The first shift in rankings showed up on 13 August.
• Daily checks: each keyword was checked daily on Google US desktop through 30 September 2026.
• What counts as improved: a keyword is listed only if its latest check ranked higher than on 11 August. 54 of the 200 keywords met that bar.
• What we left out: the other 146 keywords held steady or moved down, and they are not shown here. The “Best” column is the highest position each listed keyword reached during the period.

3 tips to get the most out of PBN links

1. Maintain link velocity. Build links at a steady, natural pace instead of dumping them all at once. A consistent flow every month looks natural to Google and keeps rankings climbing, while sudden spikes followed by nothing can stall results.
2. Keep anchor text density below 10%. Don’t use your exact-match keyword as the anchor on every link. Keep exact-match anchors under 10% of your backlink profile and mix in branded, naked URL, generic and partial-match anchors so the profile stays safe from over-optimization.
3. Get your content, on-page and fundamentals on point. Links amplify what is already on the page. Make sure the target page has helpful content, a clear title and headings, good internal linking, fast loading and a solid user experience. PBN links work best when the page itself deserves to rank.
